Marcel, founder and managing partner, is responsible for executive and management issues. He develops, supervises and implements leadership and cultural change programs which help executives, management and staff to contribute more effectively to the organisation strategy from their own insight and awareness.
Marcel's area of special interest is the more complex family businesses, where the board of directors and ownership are often linked. He acts as conversation partner for the key questions about the direction an organisation should take, and about that direction versus the wishes and needs of the director-owner/family.
His work method is intensive involvement, affectionate confrontation, enriching and refreshing.
He studied Human Resource Management at Fontys Hogeschool and took courses in Strategic Management, European Management and International HRM at South Bank University in London. Some years later, he followed the postgraduate program ‘Executive Master of Management and Organization’ at TIAS Business School. After fulfilling executive and management positions in logistics, business services and high-tech industry, he worked for Witlox Van den Boomen, a broad consultancy organisation, for almost seven years. He then set up Berg & Partners, initially as an initiator and shareholder in the organisation-consultancy division, later as office partner.
In his spare time Marcel likes to be 'on an expedition' in the mountains with his family and / or friends, for a nice mountain hike, a challenging off-piste descent in the winter or looking for new inspiring opportunities for the Berg & Partners leadership journeys above the Arctic Circle, for example, Spitsbergen.
